Description

In Lawrence County, Ill., Mt. Carmel, Ill.-based Zanetis Oil Co. has completed an oil discovery in Lawrence Field. The #1-D Rogers is pumping 160 bbl of oil per day with no water. Production is from Rosiclare Lime perforations at 1,750-54 ft, as well as from several sets of St. Louis perforations at 1,854-1,939 ft. It was drilled to 2,400 ft in Section 14-3n-12w, with 5 1/2-in. casing set to 2,397 ft. The company plans to have an ongoing drilling program in the field and received permits in June for several development tests in the area. The #2-D, #3-D and #4-D Rogers will be in nearby Section 14 with planned depths of around 2,500 ft, targeting Warsaw oil pay. Two other field tests have been permitted to 2,500 ft by Zanetis in Section 15 - #1-A G. Gillespie and #2-A Carlson-Finch.
