On April 21, RiverRock Energy LLC received an initial equity commitment of $125 million from private-equity firm EnCap Flatrock Midstream, the company said that day.
RiverRock’s CEO Greg Schmidt said he was pleased with the partnership.
RiverRock will develop midstream solutions for oil and natural gas producers, and also will provide infrastructure for NGL and byproducts, the company said.
The company is also pursuing greenfield opportunities and acquisition opportunities in emerging plays, RiverRock added.
Jones Day provided legal counsel to RiverRock Energy, the company added, noting that Thompson & Knight LLP provided legal counsel to EnCap Flatrock.
San Antonio-based RiverRock Energy LLC is a midstream oil and natural gas company working in North America.
Also based in San Antonio, EnCap Flatrock Midstream provides private-equity to midstream companies working in North America.
