According to IHS, Paxton Resources LLC has scheduled three 1,500-ft stratigraphic tests targeting Knox in Miami County, Ind. The #1 Goodwin and #2 Smith will be in irregular Section 9-27n-5e, and #1 Jackson Farms will be in irregular Section 15-27n-5e. The tests are along the southeastern edge of Peru East Field, which was opened more than 100 years ago. Producing wells in the Miami County reservoir have been drilled to depths ranging from about 900 ft to 1,000 ft in Trenton. Additional Trenton production comes from wells in neighboring Wabash County’s Rich Valley Field, three miles northeast of Paxton’s drilling program. Paxton’s headquarters are in Gaylord, Mich.
