Houston-based ExxonMobil Corp. announced results from the #1-Snoek offshore well in Guyana in the Stabroek Block. It hit more than 82 ft of high-quality, oil-bearing sandstone reservoirs. The well was drilled to 16,978 ft and is in 5,128 ft of water. The latest completion is in the southern portion of the block, approximately five miles southeast of the #1-Liza discovery. The drillship is being moved to drill #4-Liza. ExxonMobil is operator and holds 45% interest in the block along with Hess, 30%, and CNOOC with 25%.
