E-learning company Seagull Oil & Gas acquired all the shares in ExTek AS, Norway’s oil and gas industry core competency training center, the company said Aug. 26. ExTek is Norway’s only core competency training center for employees and contract staff that uses the globally recognized CompEx Scheme, the company added.
With the acquisition, Seagull will have one of the most comprehensive and complete packages of El-Safety and Ex training in the market.
Morten Aasen, managing director at Seagull, said there is an increased focus on high-quality training and individual certification in the industry, and that ExTek will complement Seagull’s portfolio to meet its target to become a complete provider of training solutions.
