On May 28, New Western Energy Corp. (OTC: NWTR) said it established a wholly owned subsidiary to operate its nine Kansas leases.
New Western Operating LLC will operate the leases, which sit in Chautauqua and Wilson counties on 4,470 acres, the company said.
These include the B&W Ranch, Farwell, Fields, Landers, Rinck, Smith and Volunteer leases, the company added.
"Establishing our own operating company allows us to lower and better control our costs, and streamline our operations, in Kansas as we further develop our producing oil and gas leases in the area," said Javan Khazali, president and CEO of New Western Energy Corp.
He added, "We are pleased to continue our efforts to drive our strategic vision through prudent management and execution.”
Irvine, Calif.-based New Western Energy Corp. acquires, develops and produces oil, natural gas and minerals in North America.
