Murphy Oil Corp. (NYSE: MUR) has appointed R. Andrew Clyde as president and CEO of Murphy Oil USA Inc., the US retail marketing subsidiary.
Murphy Oil USA Inc. currently has over 1,150 US retail locations and recently announced an agreement with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to provide access to over 200 new locations in the Midwest and Southeast US.
According to the release Clyde has over 20 years of experience in management consulting, with specific focus on the downstream value chain and gasoline and convenience retailing. He has been leading the development of the business strategy for Murphy’s US retail company to move forward as a separate entity.
Clyde is a partner in Booz & Co.’s global energy practice, where he served as managing partner and has been the practice leader of the North American energy, chemicals and utilities practice.
Murphy Oil Corp. is an international oil and gas company based in El Dorado, Ark., that conducts business through various operating subsidiaries.
