Description
Amarillo-based J.W. Resources Inc. has filed a permit application for a wildcat along the western flank of the Cimarron Uplift in Moore County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The #1 Diane will be in Section 346, Block 44, H&TC Survey, A-833 and the proposed depth is 6,300 ft. No objectives were announced but it is in an area of Pennsylvanian Granite Wash wells. It is the first wildcat in the county since 1979. Nearby production is about 2.5 miles northwest of Permian producers at approximately 3,200-3,700 ft, and Granite Wash oil producers in the northwest-southeast Dalhart Basin trend are approximately 15 miles to the southwest in Hartley County.
