Description

Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Operating Inc. has completed a Mississippian Meramec discovery that initially flowed 1.224 Mbbl of oil, 2.56 MMcf of gas and 240 bbl of water per day. The extended-reach Anadarko Basin horizontal well, #1H Stark 1-16-10, is in Section 1-16n-10w of Blaine County, Okla. It was tested on a 24/64-in. choke, with production from an acidized and fracture-treated lateral at 9,344-18,720 ft. The Altona Field well was tested on an unreported choke size with a shut-in tubing pressure of 104 psi and a flowing tubing pressure of 1,625 psi. It was drilled to 18,819 ft and bottomed in Section 12-16n-10w with a true vertical depth of 9,401 ft.
