A Canadian County, Okla., Meramec discovery initially flowed 1.168 Mbbl of oil, 4.26 MMcf of gas and 534 bbl of water per day. Marathon Oil Co.’s horizontal producer, #1-11MH Hrdy, is in Section 11-13n-7. It was tested on a 44/64-in. choke and production is from a fracture-stimulated interval at 9,341-14,276 ft. The Richland Field well was drilled to the south to 14,367 ft, 8,991 ft true vertical. Marathon reported the well had an average 30-day production rate of 1.870 Mboe/d (56% oil). Marathon’s headquarters are in Houston.
