Memorial Production Partners LP (NasdaqGS: MEMP) appointed William J. Scarff president of the company’s general partner, Memorial Production Partners said Jan. 31.
"Bill brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with over 30 years of industry experience, including starting and leading successful private energy companies. His experience and leadership will be invaluable to the successful execution of our long-term growth objectives," said John A. Weinzierl, chairman and CEO of the general partner. "We are pleased to welcome him to the MEMP team,” he added.
Scarff has served as president and CEO of several private E&P companies since 1999, including Propel Energy LLC, the company said. He has also worked for Marathon Oil Co. (NYSE: MRO), Anadarko Petroleum Co. (NYSE: APC) and Burlington Resources, the company added.
Memorial Production Partners LP is a publicly traded partnership that acquires, produces and develops U.S. oil and natural gas properties. It is based in Houston.
