Chris Kendall was appointed as COO of Denbury Resources Inc., the company said Sept. 1. The appointment will become effective when he joins the company Sept. 8. Phil Rykhoek, president and CEO, has been interim COO.
Most recently, Kendall was on the executive management team at Noble Energy Inc. (NBL) and also was senior vice president for its global operations services.
Prior to that, Kendall was vice president-Gulf of Mexico for Noble from 2011 to 2014. From 2007 to 2011, he was business unit manager and vice president for Noble Energy Mediterranean Ltd. Kendall worked at Noble since 2001.
He began his career in 1989 with Mobil Oil Corp., and has more than 26 years’ experience in the domestic and international oil and natural gas industry.
Kendall has a bachelor’s degree from the Colorado School of Mines.
Denbury Resources Inc. is based in Plano, Texas.
