Nominee For Interior Department Secretary Troublesome, Critics Say

President Obama’s pick for secretary of the interior, Sally Jewell, is a successful CEO, former banker and engineer who serves on a number of public boards.

She’s also a leader for environmentalist causes and a frequent contributor to Democrat coffers, including President Obama’s campaign.

The balance between her passions and past will be a key to how she runs the interior department if confirmed. One congressman, U.S. Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah questioned Jewell’s selection Feb. 6, saying that she had helped back radical agendas.
