Howard House has joined independent investment bank Greenhill & Co. Inc. as a managing director for the energy sector, according to a March 31 press release.
House will be based in Houston; he has more than 30 years’ experience in energy sector M&A, restructurings, private placements and debt and equity financing.
Most recently, House was managing director and co-head of energy investment banking for Raymond James, where he spent 15 years. Prior to that he held senior positions in the energy investment banking groups of Lehman Brothers and Prudential Securities.
House began his investment banking career with Kidder Peabody & Co. after working as a petroleum engineer with Exxon.
Scott L. Bok, Greenhill’s CEO, said there is significant near- and long-term opportunity in the energy sector, both in M&A and in restructuring. He added that House is well-known to Greenhill’s energy team.
