Chaparral Energy Inc., according to IHS Markit, completed a horizontal well that targeted bypassed Mississippian reserves in the Anadarko Basin’s Sooner Trend Field. Located in Section 22-21n-7w in Garfield County, Okla., #1MH-22 Hickman 2107 is producing 236 bbl of 40-degree-gravity crude, with 367 Mcf of gas and 857 bbl of water. Production is from an acidized and fracture-stimulated, open-hole interval of the Meramec/Osage at 7,067-11,870 ft. It was drilled to 11,870 ft and the true vertical depth is 7,116 ft. The venture by the Oklahoma City-based company is the only horizontal well in the township.
