AlixPartners business advisory firm appointed David Hindman as a new managing director in the turnaround and restructuring team based in the firm’s new Houston office.

AlixPartners opened its Houston earlier this month to further support the firm’s clients in the region.

Hindman will advise energy sector clients on performance and value creation.

Hindman most recently led successful turnarounds for two of the largest divisions of Direct Energy, a Centrica Plc subsidiary. He previously helped lead the corporate finance and energy practices at McKinsey & Co. Prior to that, he was a restructuring adviser at UBS Warburg LLC and also worked at Thayer Capital Partners.

He has more than 15 years’ experience in the energy industry and the turnaround process.

Hindman earned a bachelor’s degree from Rice University and a master’s of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.
