Description
Hilcorp Energy Co. is underway at a western Plaquemines Parish, La., directional test on the eastern-most flank of Lake Washington Field. The #1 Louisiana Land & Exploration is being drilled from a surface location in irregular Section 31-19s-28e. The Miocene test is permitted to 13,082 ft, with a proposed true vertical depth of 11,613 ft. The well will bottom within one mile to the northwest in Section 48-19s-27e. The bottomhole is expected to offset a 17,015-ft vertical test drilled in 1968 at the now-abandoned #1 LL&E Z. Hilcorp’s headquarters are in Refugio, Texas.
