Newly formed H2O Midstream LLC secured an initial funding commitment of $100 million from EIV Capital and co-investments from some of its institutional partners, the company said June 21. The company focuses on midstream water needs.
Houston-based H2O Midstream is led by former industry executives with experience at oil and gas majors, traditional midstream companies and private-equity funded startups.
CEO Jim Summers has more than 25 years’ experience in the energy industry. He held senior leadership positions at Conoco (NYSE: COP) and BP Plc (NYSE: BP) and at privately held startups. He is the former COO of Energy Water Solutions and the former sector leader for water and midstream at ERM.
Darrell Bull, chief commercial officer, has worked in midstream for 28 years. He has worked at Mobil, Williams and Crestwood. Currently, he is on the editorial advisory board for Hart Energy’s Midstream Business magazine. He is a former board member for the Midcontinent chapter of the Gas Processors Association.
David Ishmael, executive vice president of engineering and operations, has worked in the industry for 35 years, at Dynegy, Targa, AB Resources, Quicksilver and Southcross Energy. He is also a former chairman and board member for the North Texas Gas Processors Association.
Gauri Potdar is vice president of strategy and analytics for H2O Midstream. She has worked in strategy, finance and business development for 13 years, at Deloitte, Element Markets and S&P Global Platts.
John Jensen, former executive vice president at EP Energy, joined H2O Midstream as a member of the board of directors. Prior to joining EP Energy, he worked for more than two decades in upstream and midstream roles at El Paso Corp. and ConocoPhillips.
