Mutual of Omaha Bank appointed Randy Gartz and Brock Berilgen to its Houston commercial banking office, the bank said Sept. 2. Gartz was appointed as manager of corporate and commercial relationship banking and Berilgen was appointed as senior energy lender, the bank added.

Gartz has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial banking, and most recently was the Houston market president for a regional bank, Mutual of Omaha Bank said. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the bank added.

Berilgen will handle senior debt financing for oil and gas, primarily reserved-based loans and certain midstream projects, the bank said.

Most recently, Berilgen was the vice president and senior client executive of energy for an international bank in Houston, Mutual of Omaha Bank said, noting that he has almost 15 years’ experience in corporate energy banking in in the city.

Berilgen has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University, the bank said.
