Freudenberg Oil & Gas announced that it has acquired Scott-Matrix Ltd., a Newcastle, UK based manufacturer of elastomeric sealing solutions for the oil and gas industry. Scott-Matrix is known for its custom manufacturing service for a wide range of products for the upstream oil and gas segment.
“Acquiring Scott-Matrix Ltd (SM) is consistent with our strategy to provide innovative sealing solutions and differentiated seal products to customers in the upstream segment of the oil and gas market,” said Richard T. Schmidt, President and CEO of Freudenberg Oil & Gas. “Their commitment to customer service and good management practices, demonstrated by their ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, is parallel to our objective at Freudenberg Oil & Gas to be the global leader in sealing technology for the upstream oil and gas market.”
This acquisition compliments the company’s core competencies of Materials Science, Process Control and Manufacturing Excellence.
Under the agreement signed, Scott-Matrix founder David Scott and the current staff will remain with the company.
