Energy and Infrastructure Capital LLC appointed P. Brent Grundberg to lead the debt investments segment of its oil and natural gas sector, the company said June 5.

Most recently, Grundberg was vice president at San Francisco-based UnionBanCal Equities, the private-equity affiliate of Union Bank, the company said. He also worked in energy investing for Stamford, Conn.-based GE Energy Financial Services, the company added.

“I am excited to welcome Brent to the EIC team as the leader of our oil and gas lending platform,” said Jerry Polacek, the CEO of Energy and Infrastructure Capital.

“Brent brings a breadth of experience, along with a client focused perspective, that is well suited for delivering financings tailored to our clients’ needs,” Polacek added.

Stamford, Conn.-based Energy and Infrastructure Capital is an affiliate of Harbinger Group Inc. (NYSE: HRG), a holding company based in New York. Energy and Infrastructure Capital manages debt capital investments for the global energy and infrastructure sectors.
