Description

Results from an Anadarko Basin dual-lateral horizontal producer were announced by Tulsa-based Orca Operating Co LLC. The Upper Chester discovery, #34-1H Betty, is in Section 33-20n-17w of Dewey County, Okla. It initially pumped 51 bbl of oil, 418 Mcf of gas and 872 bbl of water per day. A directional pilot hole was drilled to the east to 9,821 ft, 8,947 ft true vertical, and bottomed in Section 34-20n-17w. According to IHS Markit,, two open-hole laterals were then drilled northeastward to the following depths and bottom-holes in Woodward County: Lateral #1, 7,172-12,686 ft (8,700 ft true vertical) in Section 34-20n-17w; and Lateral #2, 7,172-12,724 ft (8,740 ft true vertical) in Section se 34-20n-17w. Both laterals were acidized, however no fracture treatments were reported. Orca Operating is based in Tulsa.
