Description
Grant Canyon Oil & Gas LLC has received a permit for a 7,400-ft development test on the east side of Blackburn Field in Nevada’s Pine Valley. The #22 Blackburn Unit will be in Section 8-27n-52e of Eureka County. Objectives were not disclosed, but the field currently produces from Indian Well, Chainman Shale and Nevada. The venture is a north offset to the inactive 1982 Blackburn Field discovery, #3 Blackburn, in Section 8-27n-52e. It pumped 346 bbl of oil and 767 bbl of water per day from Chainman Shale at 7,072-90 ft and from Nevada at 7,120-40 ft. Grant Canyon is based in Denver.
