Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE: DNR) appointed Brad Kerr as senior vice president of planning, technology, CO2 supply and pipelines, the company said June 16.
He replaced Charlie Gibson in the role, the company said. Gibson was appointed as senior vice president of production operations, the company added.
"We are excited to have Brad join the Denbury team and for Charlie to assume a new leadership role within our organization. Both are seasoned leaders with deep technical and operational expertise, and we expect these changes will enhance Denbury's operational excellence as we focus on increasing shareholder value by optimizing the development of our unique and highly attractive asset base," said Craig McPherson, the senior vice president and COO.
Kerr has 31 years’ experience in the industry, Denbury said, noting that he worked for Royal Dutch Shell Plc (NYSE: RDS-A, RDS-B ) and ExxonMobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM). Most recently, he was the director for South China at Shell, Denbury added.
Kerr holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Columbia University, and also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Davidson College, the company said.
Plano, Texas-based Denbury Resources Inc. operates domestically.
