Global consulting, testing, and advisory firm DEKRA Insight acquired safety consulting company Optimus Seventh Generation Ltd., DEKRA said July 8.
Oxnard, Calif.-based DEKRA’s total global workforce now numbers more than 550 after acquiring Aberdeen, Scotland-based Optimus’ more than 65 safety experts and consultants.
Optimus handles behavior-based safety, onsite coaching and training, occupational health and safety training, and risk diagnosis for high-hazard industry, including oil and gas.
Derek Smith, Optimus’ CEO, said the acquisition enables the firm to continue providing safety, technical and operational solutions for clients.
