Crown Point Energy Inc. (CWV.V) is pleased to announce that it has changed its name from "Crown Point Ventures Ltd." to "Crown Point Energy Inc." as part of its continuance from the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) to the Business Corporations Act (Alberta).
The name change and continuance were approved by shareholders at Crown Point's annual general and special meeting held on July 27, 2012 and are effective as of July 27, 2012. Crown Point anticipates that it will begin trading under its new name on the TSXV on July 31, 2012.
Shareholders also approved Crown Point's new option plan (which will replace Crown Point's existing option plan) and reappointed Crown Point's board of directors at the Meeting.
