Description

A Willow Springs Field-Cotton Valley gas discovery was announced by Tyler, Texas-based Tanos Exploration II LLC in Upshur County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas. The #5H Stinchcomb is flowing 3.413 MMcf of gas, 48 bbl of 65.6-degree-gravity condensate and 552 bbl of water per day from perforations at 11,481-16,898 ft. It is on a on a 347.6-acre lease in Marshall Mann Survey, A-302. Gauged on a 33/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 1,175 psi. The horizontal well was drilled to 16,951 ft, 10,975 ft true vertical, and bottomed about one mile to the south. Numerous vertical Cotton Valley gas wells are within a mile of Tanos’ gas producer – Dallas Production operates many of the vertical Willow Springs wells in the area.
