Christopher Jarvis and Kevin Sylla were appointed to the senior management team, Foothills Exploration Inc. said March 3, noting that Jarvis will become executive vice president of finance for Foothills Exploration and vice president of risk management for Foothills Petroleum Inc., and that Sylla will become director and CEO of Foothills Petroleum Inc.
Jarvis is currently a director of Foothills Exploration. He will remain a director of Foothills Exploration and Foothills Petroleum Inc., the press release said.
He has more than 20 years of capital markets and investments experience covering the equity, commodity and fixed-income markets. He is a chartered financial analyst and chartered market technician, and is a member of the CFA Institute and also the Market Technician’s Association.
Jarvis earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Connecticut. He has been a member of the University of Connecticut Financial Accelerator Advisory Board for the last 10 years.
Sylla has been managing director of Tiger Energy Operating LLC and Tiger Energy Partners International LLC for the past five years and will retain those roles, the press release said, noting hewas a key adviser in the combination and integration of Tiger’s assets into Foothills Exploration.
Sylla has more than 10 years of oil and gas industry experience, handling business development, M&A and field operations management, and also financing, acquisition and development of domestic oil and gas properties, the press release said.
He is the managing member of Wilshire Energy Partners LLC, a principal shareholder of Foothills Exploration, and has been a consultant to Foothills Exploration since its formation, the press release said.
Sylla completed the petroleum land management program at Texas Christian University and earned his energy and finance management certification from the University of Denver.
