An appraisal test has been scheduled by Houston-based Chevron Corp. for the company’s Guadalupe discovery in Keathley Canyon. The #3 OCS G27698 will be in the southern portion of Keathley Canyon Block 10 in area water depth of 4,020 ft. Chevron has had a Lower Tertiary exploration program in the area for years, including the company’s Gibson prospect about 10 miles to the southwest in Keathley Canyon Block 96.
