Description
An offshore St. Mary’s Parish, La., completion was announced by Houston-based Castex Energy Inc. in Atchafalaya Bay Field. The Miocene workover, #1 State Lease 20221, is producing 1.845 MMcf of gas, one bbl of condensate and one bbl of water per day from perforations in Cibicides opima. It was drilled to 19,100 ft and plugged back to 18,101 for completion. Tested on a 22/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 2,028 psi and the shut-in tubing pressure was 2,950 psi. The original hole was drilled in 2010 and was tested at 18,194-18,314 ft. The initial flowrate was 15.2 MMcf of gas and 122 bbl of 40.4-degree-gravity oil.
