Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Carlsbad, N.M.-based Capitan Energy Inc. completed two Wolfcamp wells in Culberson County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The #3H W.A. State flowed 6.239 MMcf of gas, 1.790 Mbbl of 49.6-degree-gravity condensate and 6.29 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from fractured Wolfcamp perforations at 8,764-15,956 ft. Gauged on a 52/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 950 psi, and shut-in casing pressure was 2,150 psi. The 16,140-ft Ford West Field well is on a 4,198-acre Delaware Basin lease in Section 11, Block 114, PSL Survey, A-5102. The lateral bottomed 1.5 miles to the north at a true vertical depth of 8,419 ft in Section 2. Information on a 2012 discovery was only recently re-leased: #1H W.A. State produced 7 MMcf of gas and 56 bbl of 58.2-degree-gravity condensate per day from 10,303-13,984 ft. The lateral bottomed within a mile to the east at a true vertical depth of 9,928 ft.
