A Canyon oil well was completed in Cottle County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas, by Gunn Oil Co. The #4 Richards Unit initially flowed 110 bbl of 38.2-degree-gravity crude per day, with no gas or water. Production is from perforations at 4,525-42 ft. The 4,700-ft well is in Section 1, ET RR Co Survey, A-107. It was tested on a 10/64-in. choke and the flowing tubing pressure was 190 psi. The Wichita Falls, Texas-based company has also received a permit for the nearby #3 Richards –it has been permitted to 7,000 ft but no activity has been reported to date.
