Calgary-based Marquee Energy Ltd. (TSXV: MQL.V) began trading in the U.S. on the OTCQX International segment of the OTC (OTC: OTCM), the company said Jan. 13. Marquee hopes to broaden its access to current and prospective U.S. shareholders with the move, the company said.

Its place in the OTC markets signifies it as a non-U.S. company on the qualified international exchange, the company said. The OTCQX provides home-country disclosure to U.S. investors, the company added.

"Marquee is at an exciting stage in its development having just completed a strategic transaction doubling production and adding significant new U.S. investment in the company," said Richard Thompson, CEO.

Merriman Capital Inc.(OTC: MERR) is Marquee's Principal American Liaison ("PAL") on OTCQX and will be responsible for providing guidance on OTCQX requirements, the company said.

Marquee Energy is a publicly traded junior oil and gas company focused on oil development production’s rate of return (ROR). Its core area is at eastern Alberta’s Michichi.
