The properties were acquired from Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) and its partner for approximately $93 million, excluding purchase price adjustments.
The transaction includes a 60% working interest in Mid-Con Energy's Cushing field and various working interests in select Southern Oklahoma waterflood units.
The largest of Capstone’s leasehold interest is in Schleicher County, Texas, where it holds about 5,000 acres targeting the Canyon Sands, Wolfcamp and Cline shale near El Dorado.
