Drilling Activity Details
Drilling Activity Summary
Description
A state drilling permit has been granted to Anchorage-based BlueCrest Energy Inc. for a delineation test in Cook Inlet’s Cosmopolitan Unit. The directionally-drilled venture, #16-H Hansen, will be in Section 2-4s-15w in Seward Meridian. It will bottom to the northwest in Section 29-3s-15w and the objective is an undefined oil accumulation in Hansen Field area. According to the company’s initial development plan, oil production wells would be drilled from an onshore drillsite with extended-reach drilling to develop the offshore reservoirs. Objectives include Hemlock and Starichkof. BlueCrest has three other delineation tests planned in the Cosmopolitan Unit, which would be in Section 33 and Section 29 in Township 3s-15w.
