Continental Resources Inc. has completed a high-volume horizontal producer that spans two sections in Blaine County, Okla. The #1-4-9XH Ireta, in Section 4-13n-13w, flowed 16.7 MMcf of gas per day from 10,188 ft of a fracture-stimulated Woodford lateral extending southward to Section 9-13n-13w. Little additional information is available. Another recent discovery by the Oklahoma City-based company was #1-5-8XH Schantz in Section 5-13n-13w. It was tested on a 35/64-in. choke flowing 14.4 MMcf of gas with 2.64 Mbbl of water daily from a fracture-stimulated Woodford interval at 14,837-24,924 ft. The 25,066-ft well was drilled southward to a true vertical depth of 15,241 ft and bottomed in Section 8-13n-13w.
