Mark Bentley joined as a senior managing director in the power, energy and renewables banking group in Europe at Guggenheim Securities International Ltd., the firm said Sept. 30.
The firm is the international investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners.
Most recently, Bentley was managing director and partner at Greenhill & Co., advising energy and natural resources clients. Bentley has more than 29 years’ experience in financial, legal and consultant advisory in the energy and power sectors.
He began his career as an attorney with Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett Inc.. He also worked as a financial consultant at McKinsey & Co., and worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers and BZW. He became global co-head of HSBC’s resources and energy group.
Bentley has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oxford and a law degree from University College London.
