Mulva: Energy industry must engage in climate debate before too late

Email Print

The energy industry no longer has the luxury of standing on the sidelines while other interests shape policy relating to greenhouse gas emissions, according to Jim Mulva, president and chief executive of ConocoPhillips.

“The outcome has the potential to change the nature of our industry and affect all that we do as energy providers,” he told an audience at the Cambridge Energy Research Associates conference in Houston. “The energy industry should be part of the solution. We have the best understanding of the energy supply chain.”
