The Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission has reported 17 new completions in the Fayetteville shale. The commission did not report any flow rates for the new completions.
            

The companies reporting were Southwestern Energy Co., Houston, (NYSE: SWN) with 10; Petrohawk Energy Corp., Houston, (NYSE: HK) three; Chesapeake Energy Corp., Oklahoma City, Okla., (NYSE: CHK), three; and XTO Energy Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, (NYSE: XTO) one.
            

A breakdown of area shows 10 of the completions were in Van Buren County, five in Conway County and two in White County.
            

The commission reports that 24 new permits have been issued: Chesapeake Energy with six—four in White, two in Van Buren; Southwestern Energy with 12—eight in Van Buren, and one each in Cleburne, White, Faulkner and Conway counties; and Petrohawk Energy with six—four in Van Buren and two in Cleburne.
