Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Three Alpine High play producers were reported by Apache Corp. in PSL Survey, A-3048, in Reeves County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The #1H Spruce State is flowing 17.7 MMcf of dry gas per day from a 6,000-ft Barnett Shale lateral. It was drilled to 20,510 ft, 13,346 ft true vertical, and according to the operator, the well confirmed both the geographic delineation of the Barnett and the company’s ability to drill and complete long laterals in the play. The #1H Spruce is an eastern offset to the company’s #2H Redwood, where a Pennsylvanian gas well was completed. The #2H Redwood is producing 5.1 MMcf of dry gas per day from a 4,292-ft lateral. It was drilled to 17,368 ft and the true vertical depth is 12,937 ft. The #1H Redwood is producing 18 MMcf of gas per day from a horizontal Woodford leg with no liquids reported – the vertical pilot hole was tested in the Wolfcamp but no completion information is currently available.
