Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has completed two horizontal Wolfcamp wells in the Loving County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, portion of Phantom Field. The #1H Corsair C26-20 initially flowed 1.667 Mbbl of 44-degree-gravity oil, 2.843 MMcf of gas and 3.531 Mbbl of water per day. It was drilled to 16,764 ft with a one-mile lateral that bottomed to the northwest at a true vertical depth of 12,032 ft. Tested on a 30/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 2,705 psi. Acid- and fracture-treated perforations are at 12,365-16,599 ft. The 642.8-acre Delaware Basin lease comprises Section 20, Block C26, PSL Survey, A-1185. About two miles east-northeast of #1H Corsair, #1H Rippin Wrangler C26-19 flowed 397 bbl of 43.8-degree-gravity crude, 727 Mcf of gas and 5.966 Mbbl of water per day from 12,747-16,974 ft. The discovery was drilled to 17,127 ft, and the true vertical depth is 12,408 ft. Production is from acidized and fractured perforations at 12,747-16,974 ft. It bottomed about one mile to the northwest in Section 19, Block C26, PSL Survey, A-1184. Testing was performed on a 28/64-in. choke, and the flowing tubing pressure was 3,195 psi. Anadarko’s headquarters are in Houston.
