Utica Shale Shakes and Bakes

This emerging play is one we're bound to hear more about in the future. Not only has it been likened to the Eagle Ford and the Bakken, but it benefits from an unusual method known as "shake and bake," where wells are shut-in for 60 to 90 days after they are fraced. The process has resulted in better-flowing wells.
