Derrick Whitfield has joined the Houston office of CanAccord Adams as an associate in the equity-research department, covering mostly U.S.-based E&Ps with Stephanie Joe and Irene Haas. Whitfield has held a variety of positions at ExxonMobil Corp. since 2000, in the downstream sector, marketing petrochemicals. Most recently, he was global business advisor, managing the financial performance of a $10-billion portfolio.
