The Middle East, North Africa & Turkey region of GE Oil & Gas now has Rami Qasem as president and CEO, the company said Dec. 20. The human resources sector of the company now has Harry Elsinga as vice president, the company added.


Qasem will oversee the company’s growth in the Middle East, North Africa & Turkey region. GE Oil & Gas has over 1,350 people there in various capacities, the company said.


Elsinga will oversee human resources functioning for 43,500 employees, the company added.


Qasim has worked for GE for 16 years and has an Electrical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University.


Elsinga has worked for GE for 17 years. He has a BA degree in Human Resources Management and Technology from Hogeschool-Rotterdam. He also has an MA in Sociology from Erasmus University-Rotterdam.
