Fort Worth, Texas-based Trinity East Drilling LLC is testing the eastern boundary of the Barnett shale.  Trinity is a division of Keystone Exploration Ltd.

The well is about 50 miles to the south of an area Range Resources Corp., Fort Worth, (NYSE: RRC) has explored with two wells in far western Ellis County and a third planned.

In February, Trinity East bid on Love Field in Dallas, nearly 11 miles east of the Tarrant County line. But there has been no drilling on any of that land. Trinity East reports it expects spending $160 million on lease acquisition, seismic work and drilling. JAS
