Houston-based Tanner Cos. has acquired the majority of the assets of Kilgore, Texas-based Pirtle Energy Services for an undisclosed price.
Pirtle provides oilfield construction in East and northeastern Texas and northwestern Louisiana, including general roustabout services, production hook-ups, small-diameter pipeline construction, and site and ROW maintenance.
Tanner president Maury Dumba says, “Pirtle is a great complement to our existing business. With this acquisition Tanner gets an established base in an adjacent market, already providing the same type and level of services that our existing customers have come to expect from Tanner, in one of the most active energy-production regions in the country.”
Pirtle chief operating officer says, “Tanner is certainly well known and respected in the oilfield construction and maintenance arena and we couldn’t be happier about this transaction. This is a win-win for Pirtle and Tanner. With Tanner, we will be able to grow and better serve our customers in this area. Our employees are thrilled to be working with such a great company.”
