Tomball, Texas-based Dinosaur Oil and Gas Inc. and Italian-American Oil Co. have filed for Chapter 11 protection in Texas

Chairman Mary Josephine Stone is sole shareholder of both companies. Dinosaur owns mineral rights and Italian-American is an oil and gas operator in Texas. Italian-American’s assets are valued at $500,000 to $1 million and it has primarily business debt of $100,000 to $500,000. Dinosaur’s assets are valued at $1- to $10 million and it has primarily business debt of $100,000 to $500,000.

Italian-American’s largest creditor is Houston-based Valerus Compression Services. Dinosaur’s largest creditor is Dallas-based XTO Energy Inc.

Houston-based attorney John H. Bennett Jr. is legal advisor to Dinosaur and Italian-American.
