Allied Energy Successfully Completes Series of Ohio, Okla. Wells

Published May 18, 2009

Allied Energy Inc., Bowling Green, Ky., (Pink Sheets: AGGI) says its Humphrey #1, Pannel #1, Kidder #1 and Bailey #1 wells in southeast Ohio were each drilled to approximately 4,000 feet and have been completed, with production at approximately 120,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

The Sillaman #1 and Ladd #1 wells in southeast Ohio were each drilled to a total depth of approximately 4,000 feet and encountered gas in several formations, including the Oriskany sandstone and various members of the Ohio shale. Both wells have been completed and are now producing 47,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Revenue distributions should begin in the next 60 days. The Fisher County, Texas well, which was part of the so-called Bush Spectrum 7, was drilled to total depth but deemed non-commercial for production of oil and/or gas.

In the company’s Pawnee County, Okla./Southeast Ohio development, the Hutchinson #1 was completed and placed in production at an initial rate of 155,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Hutchinson #1 delineated what Allied says appears to be a productive reservoir in the Oriskany sandstone and potentially other shale formations. Cunningham #1, also in the development, is currently in completion.

Allied president Steve Stengell says, “Although there are risks associated with production operations, we believe the Hutchinson #1 should be another strong long-term producer. We anticipate the well to stabilize at an initial rate close to 120,000 cubic feet of gas per day.”

In Pawnee County, Okla., Foust #9-9 and #10-9 were drilled to total depth and are currently in completion.

In the Rogers County, Okla./Southeast Ohio development, Watkins #1 has been completed and has been producing approximately 120,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

Also in the Rogers County program are the Noble Brewer #12-1, #12-10, #12-11 and Chris Begley #12-3, #12-4, #12-5, #12-6 and #12-7 wells, which have also been completed for production. Allied says Noble Brewer #12-2 and Chris Begley #12-9A need additional completion work before they can be placed in production.

The company says Chris Begley #12-3 and #12-7 were shut-in the majority of the first quarter to facilitate a transition to a new oil purchaser. Both wells are now in production. Allied says it is expecting combined production of 25- to 40 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the 12-well Rogers County program in the future.

Allied is an energy development firm engaged in the exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas in the U.S.
