American Petro-Hunter Inc. ( OTCBB : AAPH ) announced that the drilling of the NOS2-22 oil and gas well in Payne County at the company's North Oklahoma project has commenced.
The well offsets the NOS1-22 well, which is producing from the Skinner Sand and has been in production since July of 2011. The NOS2-22 is the second well drilled on the lease that is targeting the productive Skinner Sand with other objectives in the 3,500-foot well that include the Burgess Sand, Woodford Shale, Simpson Dolomite, and Wilcox formations.
It is expected that drilling will take between seven and 10 days. The NOS2-22 well will ultimately be subject to a frac after which, the company is targeting production of 20 b/d net to the 50% working interest.
