Peregrine Petroleum Acquires Anadarko Basin Acreage

Texas-based Peregrine Petroleum acquired over 10,000 net acres in the Cleveland, Tonkawa and Atoka formations of western Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin from Oklahoma-based Primary Natural Resources III, LLC, the company said Dec. 20. Peregrine plans to drill 18 new wells in the Basin in 2014. It will also accelerate drilling in 2015, primarily in the Lower Cleveland formation, the company added.

"Today's announcement represents an important milestone for Peregrine by adding another core area of operations to our portfolio," Michael B. Wisenbaker Jr., Peregrine's president, said.
